Welcome to Gambriel illustration

Hi I’m Mike, a freelance illustrator based in the lovely city of Bristol, UK. Since leaving education with a BA in Illustration and venturing out into the realm of creative freelancing I’ve worked with a variety of clients, where I’ve produced illustrations for editorial, advertising and book covers. Following that I have produced movie poster art for indie and feature films as well as producing privately commissioned alternative movie posters for film fans.

I work digitally using line and colour in a textured and painterly way in keeping with my traditional background. My strengths and interest are in portraiture and figure work and my influences are 50's illustration, pulp covers, comic book art and the poster art of the golden years.
